Being active on the server will earn you XP which will allow you to rank up your Hogwarts Year!
Level Up on our server by chatting and being active! As you move up the levels, you are also awarded new roles based on the year in Hogwarts you are!
We use a bot to measure and monitor server activity. It will award XP points for messages sent every minute on the server.
Leaderboard
The Leaderboard shows the current XP level (which is not the same as year level) at all times. Once you’ve sent your first message, you are eligable to appear on the leaderboard.
Checking XP
You can check your exact XP and level anytime! In the #Owlery channel, use the bot slash command /rank.
You can check the XP of another member by using the same command and tagging the member in the optional member section.
Restricted XP Channels
As to avoid spamming bots or simplistic XP, some channels are excluded from earning XP. The #Owerly, #HogsHead and #Zonkos are excluded from earning. Exclusive staff channels are also primarly excluded.
Leaving/ Returning
If you leave and return the server, we’ll likely maintain your XP for a couple of weeks. We do a regular purge on the leaderboard as to not make it scroll on forever.
Eight levels to achieve.
First Year
When your XP reaches Level 1, you earn the role of First Year! Reaching this level also unlocks the Newbie Badge.
Level 1
Second Year
When your XP reaches level 5, you are promoted to Second Year!
Level 5
Third Year
When your XP reaches Level 10, you are promoted to Third Year! Reaching this level also unlocks the Year 3 Badge.
Level 10
Fourth
When your XP reaches Level 15, you are promoted to Fourth Year! Reaching this level also unlocks the Year 4 Badge.
Level 15
Fifth Year
When your XP reaches Level 20, you are promoted to Fifth Year! Reaching this level also unlocks the Year 5 Badge.
Level 20
Sixth Year
When your XP reaches Level 25, you are promoted to Sixth Year! Reaching this level also unlocks the Year 6 Badge.
Level 25
Year 7
When your XP reaches Level 30, you are promoted to Seventh Year! Reaching this level also unlocks the Year 7 Badge.
Level 20
Hogwart's Alumni
When your XP reaches Level 40, you earn the role of Hogwart’s Alumni! Reaching this level also unlocks the Hogwarts Alumni Badge.
Level 25
Order of Merlin
When your XP reaches Level 100, you are promoted to Order of Merlin! Reaching this level also unlocks the Order of Merlin Badge.
Level 20
Custom Role Selection
When your XP reaches Level 150, you can create your own role or title on the server and earn a custom badge that just you will have!
